The European Union (EU) has approved the freezing of assets of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Russia, its neighbor, has been launching a barrage of bombs and missiles at Ukraine since yesterday in protest of its accession to the NATO bloc. Due to the tense situation in Ukraine, many foreigners, including those from India and Britain, are leaving Ukraine.
The three-pronged attack, which was carried out by air, sea and land, resulted in heavy casualties on both sides. Russia’s actions have been condemned by various countries around the world and sanctions have been imposed. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on the Ukrainian military to seize power.
