A woman and her two children, a 15-year-old teenager and a baby, were found dead in Dreux, Eure-et-Loir, on Thursday morning, the prosecution said. The bodies were discovered in a pavilion, according to the public prosecutor of Chartres, Frédéric Chevallier.
According France 3, a suspect is on the run. The mayor of the town, interviewed by the regional channel, reported that the victims would have had their throats cut.
The territorial direction of the judicial police of Orleans was seized and the identification of the victims is in progress.
The criminal track is considered, even if the public prosecutor could not, at first, specify whether there had actually been “the intervention of a third party”. He told France 3 that the investigators were interested in the ex-spouse of the mother of the family, even if other leads are also being studied.
