BOLZANO. In collaboration with Merano Festival e South Tyrol Castles Institute, the Euregio organized the first cultural event outside the Bolzano headquarters, arousing great interest.
Friday 19th Julywithin the first Euregio Eveningthe Knights’ Hall of Trostburg Castle, in Ponte Gardena, was packed for the performance of Stefan Zweig’s novel “24 hours of a woman’s life” accompanied by the notes of a violin.
The Secretary General of the Euregio, Christoph von Achdefined the Euregio Soirée as “an absolute preview from several points of view”: first of all because in South Tyrol the Euregio organised for the first time a cultural event outside its headquarters, in Waaghaus of Bolzano. Secondly, the South Tyrolean Castle Institute made Trostburg Castle available to the Euregio for the first time, where the artistic evening could take place thanks to the collaboration with the Meraner Festspiele.

The president of the South Tyrolean Castle Institute, Carl Philipp Baron Hohenbühel, mentioned the extensive shared heritage: “The castles of historic Tyrol, and thus of today’s Euregio, are linked by an eventful history. They were not only built for protection, but have always been the cradle of culture. We are pleased to be able to continue this tradition by re-evaluating them as venues for new events for which the Euregio represents the ideal institutional and cultural framework.”
Philipp Genettipresident of the Meraner Festspiele, introduced the show to the spectators, including the vice-president of the Province of Bolzano Rosmarie Shows Off.
Under the direction of Claus Troegerthe actress Sarah Kattih He then brought the novella “24 Hours in a Woman’s Life” to life in a dramatized narrative, while violinist Matthias Brommann provided the musical accompaniment.
