Barcelona and Spain forward Lamin Yamal received the award for the best young player of the past Euro 2024.

Yamal turned 17 on July 13.
The Spanish national team beat the English team in the final match of the Euro with a score of 2:1.
Yamal has featured in all seven of Spain’s matches at Euro 2024, starting all but the third-round group game against Albania. He became the tournament’s youngest player when he came on in the opening game (16 years, 338 days), and then set a new record as the youngest goalscorer in Euro history when he scored against France in the semi-finals (16 years, 362 days).
In total, Yamal scored one goal and made four assists (including in the final).
In terms of assists, Yamal repeated the Euro record. Swiss Stefen Zuber (Euro 2020), Welshman Aaron Ramsey (2016), Belgian Eden Hazard (2016) and Yugoslav Lubinko Drulovic (2000) also provided four assists each.
