We already know nine of the 24 teams present at Euro 2024. Two days before the end of the qualifiers, nine nations have already validated their ticket by securing a place among the first two in their group. France is one of the first to have obtained its ticket to Germany (June 14-July 14, 2024) thanks to its victory over the Netherlands (2-1) this Friday.
This Tuesday, it was England who validated their qualification by dominating Italy (3-1) at Wembley thanks in particular to their duo Harry Kane-Marcus Rashford, author of the three goals of the match. The Three Lions only needed a draw to qualify for the competition. Defeated, Italy only has 10 points two days from the end, and should surely play their place in the last match against Ukraine, who are ahead of Squadra Azzurra by 3 points for the moment.
Four totally undecided groups
7 other qualified nations are also known. Note the presence of Germany, with its place reserved as host country. Portugal and Belgium had already validated their place this Friday, with a perfectly controlled group stage. Spain and Scotland are already assured of being the two directly qualified teams from Group A with 15 points each. Turkey and Austria will also be there.
There are now 15 places left for Euro 2024, including 12 to be obtained via the qualifiers. The remaining 3 places will be allocated in play-offs established on the basis of results in the 2022-23 Nations League. Everything still remains to play for in Group E with Albania and the Czech Republic who are currently in the best placed, just as in Group G where Hungary and Serbia are off to a good start. Group H with Slovenia and Denmark currently in the lead and Group I with Romania and Switzerland in the first two places are in the same situation.
The next two days, inevitably decisive for all the groups, will take place in mid-November.
