European car sales fell 20.3% in February

Time.news – Car sales in Europe (EU + EFTA-GB) fell by 20.3% in February compared to the same period in 2020, to 850,170 units. In the first two months of 2021, registrations fell by 23.1% to 2,200,957 units. In Italy, things went a little better: sales fell by 12.3% in February to 142,998 units and in the first two months of the year they fell by 13.1% to 277,145 units.

The Stellantis group, for its part, registered 198,883 cars in Europe in February, 22.4% less than in the same month of 2020, when the merger between FCA and PSA had not yet been implemented. The market share is at 23.4% compared to 24% a year ago.

In the first two months of 2021, registrations of the group amounted to 377,905 units, down by 24.7% compared to the same period last year. The market share drops to 22.3% against 22.8%.
