European Championships – Sport – South Tyrol

by time news

London. Britain offers to host the entire European football championships this summer. This was revealed by the “Sunday Times” which explains that the idea would start after ministers drew up the plan to bring fans back to football stadiums and outdoor music festivals by the end of May. Oliver Dowden, Secretary of State for Sport, told UEFA that vaccinations are progressing rapidly and that the UK will have full stadiums ahead of most of Europe. Wembley, which will already host – among other things – the semifinals and the final on 11 July, could therefore also be made available for other matches.

Government sources, in fact, have made it known that everything could be ready in time to welcome other races on British soil. The proposal was made possible thanks to the “road map of recovery” that Prime Minister Boris Johnson will publish tomorrow.
