Rabbinical Council of Europe Takes Steps to Address Rising Prices of Kosher Meat

In a recent annual meeting of the Rabbinical Council of Europe, the issue of rising prices of kosher meat was a major point of discussion among the members. The high prices have been causing concerns for many Jews, leading to difficulties in obtaining kosher meat. In response to this, it was decided at the meeting to find a solution to make kosher and fancy meat more accessible by offering it at discounted prices.

As a result of this decision, the European Rabbinical Center has opened a fancy slaughterhouse in Poland, which is strictly in accordance with Halacha guidelines. This initiative aims to provide high-quality and fancy meat at an affordable price for Jewish communities across Europe.

To ensure the quality and adherence to Halacha, a special slaughtering committee was established, consisting of leading European rabbis in the field of sophisticated kashrut. The committee was led by Rabbi Eliezer Liber Schnaebalg, Rabbi Levi Yitzhak Kahn, and Rabbi Jacob David Shamahl, who were closely involved in supervising the slaughtering process.

The meat, which has undergone a Lubavitcher slaughter and inspection, will soon be made available in European communities. Rabbi Yossi Beinhacker, the director of the European Rabbinic Center, was instrumental in bringing this project to fruition and has been commended for his efforts.

Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg, CEO of the Rabbinic Center of Europe, expressed excitement about the elegant and strict slaughter that will benefit Jews across Europe. He emphasized the decision of the Council of Rabbis to take action and help Jewish communities wherever they are.

Furthermore, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, chairman of the Rabbinic Center of Europe, highlighted that this initiative is part of the center’s ongoing efforts to support the welfare of rabbis and Jewish communities across the continent.

The opening of the fancy slaughterhouse and the subsequent availability of high-quality kosher meat at discounted prices marks a significant step in addressing the challenges faced by Jewish communities in Europe. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on access to kosher meat and dietary practices in the region.
