“Yesterday, the Civil Contract faction held an hour and a half meeting at which the tasks and projects included in the agenda of today’s parliamentary session were discussed.”

As Day.Az reports, Armenian media write about this.

“According to the data, the agreement on the EU observer status was particularly discussed, which was submitted to the National Assembly for ratification. Hayk Konjorian conveyed to his teammates that the opposition takes the agreement seriously and is expected to make tough speeches, so the answers must be adequate. The deputies were also instructed to begin active meetings with the Armenians of Karabakh, listen to their problems and speak out, showing that they are concerned about them.

By the way, according to this agreement, EU observers will be given unlimited rights and broad immunity, and it will also be stated that observers are prohibited from arresting or detaining. Even the country’s leaders and deputies do not have such immunity in Armenia,” the statement says.

Let us remind you that the European Union announced the launch of a mission in Armenia in February 2023. At the end of last year, the EU increased the number of observers from 138 to 209. The mission is expected to operate until 2025. The EU will allocate over €39 million to finance the mission over two years.

Let us note that a number of Armenian political scientists and experts previously stated that the main goal of the EU mission in Armenia is to carry out intelligence activities against Russia and Iran.
