The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 got off to a strong start to the beat of Austria, a song highly critical of music royalties. Half an hour later, Blanca Paloma came on stage and moved everyone with her ‘Ea Ea’ dedicated to her grandmother. The high point of the festival was reached when the Swedish Loreen sang oppressed between two blocks of stone that weigh two tons. The public applauded her. She is the big favourite.
In total, 26 artists fighting for the crystal microphone. After midnight they have begun to announce the vote of the jury of each country. 37 teams of professionals have cast their votes and in Spain the person in charge of broadcasting the ‘twelve points’, for the first time, has been Ruth Lorenzo. Finally, the televoting has decided the winner.
