Eva Mendes has now revealed on Instagram that she keeps her two daughters off the Internet and gives the reasons for this. The actress received a lot of criticism from followers for the statement.
Eva Mendes hat in an Instagram post reveal that she denies her two daughters Esmeralda and Amada, aged eight and seven, access to the internet at home. She posted a short meme clip in which she shakes her head in disapproval. “When my kids ask me if they’re old enough to go online, social media, or anything else that requires wifi,” she wrote.
The reactions of their fans, which were divided, quickly accumulated in the comments. “I cut it down a lot for my 10-year-old, but I find your way better,” explains one user. “I’m just sharing how I feel now, but I know it gets harder as I get older, so I get that,” Mendes replies, adding, “I let my kids use iPad to make movies and downloaded movies, but I don’t have internet access on the iPad.”

According to “People”, another user criticized the actress’ approach: “We are in the age of the Internet, so at some point everyone will have or want access to the Internet, sorry.” Mendes said: “Yes, that’s true, but kids can’t access the internet in my house. It’s too dangerous. Just like kids aren’t allowed to drink, vote or get a driver’s license, neither is it for me the internet into that category. Especially social media.”
When a user asked her at what age she would allow her kids to use the internet or social media, Mendes replies, “Honestly I don’t know. I have to see where it goes – right now I’m watching them and following them Research on how social media can affect a child’s brain. I’m taking it step by step.”
Eva Mendes and her partner Ryan Gosling, who have been dating since 2011, usually keep their personal lives out of the public eye. The actor made at least one sweet comment recently. His response: “You have the best mom ever, so let’s all just follow her lead.”
The Ken actor also revealed that his daughters also helped him with the preparations for his latest film “Barbie” – because apparently the script came right at the “Barbie” phase of the children. “We play with barbies,” says Gosling. “It was amazing because when the script came into my life – wherever it came from – it was right around the time that my kids were really getting into it.
