Islamabad: Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif has expressed anguish that even the friendly countries see Pakistan as a begging country.

Pakistan faced an unprecedented natural disaster due to heavy rains and floods. So far 1,200 people have died in the floods. More than 3,000 people were injured. Daily life of more than 3 crore people has been affected.

According to the Pakistani government, the loss of about 10 billion dollars has been caused by this flood. Pakistan also appealed to allies to help them economically. So far Saudi Arabia, China, Qatar, Turkey, Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates have helped Pakistan. The United States has announced that it will provide $30 million in aid to Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed concern about the economic impact in Pakistan.

Speaking about this in a program of Pakistan’s Lawyers’ Convention, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said, “The disaster in Pakistan is caused by climate change. Due to climate change, cloudbursts, unprecedented rains, Pakistan looked like sea water. Even smaller countries have overtaken Pakistan economically. Today, when we talk on the phone with our allies, they see us as beggars for money. “We have been carrying begging bowls for the last 75 years,” he lamented.
