Appearing on the same show a few days ago, Saif Ali Khan advised his son Ibrahim to listen to this speech of Aamir Khan. Then this statement of Amir came up strongly in the discussion. Aamir Khan said in this show, “My children do not listen to me. Sometimes I feel like this generation is stuck in the middle. We listened to our parents, we were used to it. We thought, our sons and daughters will also listen to us and that time has come. Eg: Ranveer Singh said in his song – ‘Our time has come.’ But when we became parents, our children changed. They just don’t listen to us. Earlier, our parents scolded us, now our sons and daughters are doing the same.”
Many of Aamir Khan’s peers ask their children for guidance. They hope that their children will learn a lot from Amir’s vast experience and deep insight. Describing one such incident, Aamir Khan said, “Jaggu (Jackie Shroff) is a very good friend of mine. When his son Tiger was about to enter the film industry, Jaggu (Jackie Shroff) told me, ‘He (Tiger) is my son. You meet him once, talk to him and see how he is.”
Aamir Khan tied the knot with actress Reena Dutta for the first time in his personal life. In 1986, Reena and Amir got married at the marriage register office with the help of some friends. They have two children in their married life – Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002.
Aamir’s relationship with Kiran Rao increased after his breakup with Reena. They met on the sets of this actor’s ‘Logan’ movie. Once friendship turned to love and the pair got married in 2005. There is a son named Azad Rao Khan in this family. The couple announced their separation in a joint statement on July 3, 2021.
