First of all, I think it’s really nice that someone opens up to me.” An important first step towards solving the problem: “It doesn’t matter if you answer or not – the person is written down. That’s why I write a diary, for example. I’m still writing my life.” And: “You can communicate very well with yourself. And that’s exactly the point: when someone writes something down, I see it a bit like self-therapy.”
Interview: Time.news Editor with Lisa-Marie Schiffner
Time.news Editor: Welcome, Lisa-Marie! It’s a pleasure to have you here today. You started your journey at the young age of 12 on YouTube. That’s quite impressive! What drew you to create content back then?
Lisa-Marie Schiffner: Thank you for having me! At 12, I was just a kid looking for a creative outlet. I loved watching videos on YouTube and thought, “Why not share my own experiences?” I didn’t realize it would turn into such a significant part of my life.
Time.news Editor: Fast forward to now, and you have over 1.3 million followers on Instagram. How has your approach to content creation evolved over the years?
Lisa-Marie Schiffner: It’s changed a lot! In the beginning, I focused on fun and light-hearted topics. As I grew older and faced challenges, I felt a responsibility to discuss more serious subjects—like bullying, self-esteem, and even menstruation. These topics resonate with so many people, and I believe it’s essential to create a space where we can openly talk about them.
Time.news Editor: Speaking of serious topics, you recently opened up about your most difficult period on Ö3’s “Kratky is looking for happiness.” What motivated you to share your experiences?
