As part of the XVI International Music Festival named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, a concert of soloists of the Ganja State Philharmonic named after Fikret Amirov was held at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Nakhchivan, the press service of the Philharmonic told Day.Az. The evening was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the prominent composer, holder of the orders “Fame” and “Honor”people’s artist Ramiza Mirishli (16.05.1934 – 17.04. 2015).
In the concert program, works by Ramiz Mirishli were performed by soloists of the Ganja Philharmonic – Honored Cultural Worker Mehpara Jafarova, Honored Artist Tural Abdullaevvocalist Ali Mamedovsoloists of the Nakhchivan State Philharmonic – Honored Artist Rukhiya Huseynovavocalists Ilkin Abdullaev, Bahruz Guliyev, Jafar Tagiyev, Israfil Giblaliev, Narmin Huseynova. The performances were accompanied by groups of the Nakhchivan State Philharmonic – Symphony Orchestra (artistic director – Jahangir Gurbanov) under the direction of a conductor Elvina Aliyarova and a song and dance ensemble under the direction of the Honored Artist Zeynalabdina Babayeva.
Let us remind you that from September 18 to 28, on the occasion of National Music Day, the XVI International Music Festival named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, is being held. Within the framework of the festival, concerts, performances, exhibitions, scientific conferences and master classes are held, films are presented in Baku, Shusha, Ganja, Lankaran, Gabala, Nakhchivan and Shamkir, and various events are organized in cultural centers operating in foreign countries.
