The Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev hosted a concert dedicated to Victory Day – November 8 in the 44-day Patriotic War, Day.Az reports. At the opening, the memory of the martyrs was honored with a minute of silence, and the anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
Member of the Milli Majlis, Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami ganjavi, full member of ANAS, Honored Artist, Professor Rafael Huseynov emphasized that the valiant army led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev won a victory over the Armenian occupiers, after almost 30 years territorial integrity restored country and now there is an active process of construction and revival in Karabakh, people are returning to their native lands. the names of the heroic sons of Azerbaijan, the battle for a just cause and the true fighting spirit are inscribed in the glorious chronicle of the country.
The concert program included the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli under the direction of artistic director and chief conductor, Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov, the Azerbaijan State Choir Chapel under the direction of artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist Gulbaji Imanova) and vocalist, Honored Artist Ramil Gasimov.
The program featured works by national classics and modern authors – F. Amirov “Azerbaijani Capriccio”, F. Sujaddinov “Karabakhname” symphonic ballad (libretto by academician Rafael Huseynov),O. Zulfugarov “Have fun, my people!”, Y.N. Shafag “Waltz of Victory”, S. Ragimova “Cry of Victory!” symphonic poem, Niyazi “Turkish March” and D.Guliyev “Soldier’s March”.
Among the guests were Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, representatives of culture and science, families of martyrs and veterans of the Karabakh war, creative intelligentsia and youth.
