Berlin – Even if Nicholas Jensen is not responsible for scoring goals, but rather for preventing them, he has at least found the goal at every professional station. It doesn’t matter whether it’s at his stations in other countries or during his previous engagements in the German Ice Hockey League for Bremerhaven and Düsseldorf: the Dane has shown everywhere that he knows how to overcome the opposing goalkeeper. In Berlin, however, he seemed to have lost this ability – in 39 games for the polar bears he did not score. The moment when he scored the goal to make it 5-0 at the Kölner Haie on his 40th attempt on Tuesday evening was all the more redeeming for him. “It’s nice to have finally scored my first goal of the season,” said the 32-year-old. “I hope there will be more to come.”
