34% of SuperJob survey participants do not know about the pension formula, another 29% consider the method of calculating pensions unfair, only 5% support it

A third of the participants in the survey of the job search service SuperJob (available from RBC) said they did not know anything about the pension formula by which the pension is calculated.

Participants were asked whether they considered a fair retirement formula for calculating retirement pensions for citizens born after 1967. The answer “I don’t know anything about the pension formula” was chosen by 34% of respondents. Most of those who answered in this way were among people under 34 years old (38%). 31% each – among citizens from 35 to 44 years old and from 45 years and older.

The survey was conducted on January 12 and 13 in all districts of Russia. It was attended by 1.6 thousand respondents born after 1967 from 389 cities

Another 29% said that they do not consider this method of calculating the pension fair, they did not agree with them and only 5% answered “yes”. Another 32% of survey participants found it difficult to answer.

The new procedure for calculating pensions has been in force since 2015. To calculate a pension according to the formula, you need to multiply the number of pension points assigned to a citizen by the cost of one point in the year of retirement, and add the amount of a fixed payment to the resulting number.
