According to an insider, every time Sony introduces a villain, Marvel Studios can no longer use him for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
A few days ago the new trailer was released Kraven the Hunterthe next film from Sony Pictures that will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson and will be released in theaters on December 11th.
The film is part of the SSU (Sony’s Spider-Man Universe), the shared universe developed by Sony on the various characters linked to Spider-Mancomposed of Venom, Morbius, The requirements e Madame Web (his film is set in another universe though) along with all their secondary characters and villains.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, all characters appearing in these Sony films can no longer be used by Marvel Studios for Marvel films. Spider-Man with protagonist Tom Holland.
This is inevitably creating damage for the studios, which cannot have Spider-Man clash with some of his most famous antagonists from the comics, such as Carnage, Rhino, Chameleon and many others… barring any agreements with Sony to collaborate together through the Multiverse.
Kraven has Rhino, Calypso, and Chameleon. Whenever Sony uses a villain, they block Marvel Studios from using them, which means there aren’t many left for MCU Spider-Man to face off against.
