Assistance to flood victims

All the officials and employees of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology have announced to give one day’s salary to help the flood victims. They will contribute one day’s salary to the relief and welfare fund of the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government.
On Saturday (August 23), the information was given by the adviser in charge of the ministry. Nahid Islam.
He said that the officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology have spontaneously expressed their desire to pay one day’s salary to the relief and welfare fund of the Chief Adviser.
He further informed that in view of their interest, the amount equivalent to one day’s salary of the officers and employees of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and its affiliated offices and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and its affiliated offices will be given to the relief and welfare fund of the Chief Adviser.
