Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has called upon the countrymen to stay united to build a prosperous Bangladesh without discrimination.
Khaleda Zia made this call in a virtual speech given at the party rally in Naya Paltan of the capital on Wednesday (August 7).
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia said, I thank God for being able to speak in front of you after being ill for a long time. During my incarceration, I fought for freedom from prison and freedom from disease. prayed Thank you all for that.
Khaleda Zia said that she was freed from the fascist illegal government through long struggle and sacrifice, I want to thank our brave children. Those who fought to the death made the impossible possible. Pay respect to hundreds of martyrs. This victory has brought us new possibilities.
In a video message of two minutes and 57 seconds, Khaleda Zia said that a prosperous Bangladesh must be built from the ruins of unprecedented corruption and democracy.
He also said that these students are our future. To realize the dream for which they poured their heart blood, a democratic Bangladesh based on merit, competence and knowledge should be built. We must build a prosperous Bangladesh without exploitation.
Referring to the right of all religions and communities, Khaleda Zia said, let us strengthen the hands of the youth to build the future of Bangladesh on the basis of peace, progress and equality. Let’s create a society based on love, peace and knowledge, not destruction, revenge and revenge.
It may be noted that before he was arrested in the ACC case in 2018, he last addressed a political rally. Since then, he has not been able to appear publicly in front of the activists in any rally. He was inactive from politics for a long time. He was recently released by executive order.
