Like several localities in the country, the special delegation to direct the destiny of the urban commune of Labé, was made official on the night of Saturday April 13 to Sunday April 14, 2024, by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and of Decentralization. A few hours after this appointment, the local editorial staff of your electronic daily spoke with the brand new president of the special delegation from the capital of Foutah Djallon. While rejoicing at his appointment, Thierno Ibrahima Diallo did not fail to point out that he and his team will not be able to do everything.
“It is feelings of joy and satisfaction that drive me, because the way in which we saw the population receive this news, it comforted us and it gives us more courage to be able to respond to this mission. I am a development agent, I have at least twenty years of experience in community development. These are experiences that I could use to help the community of Labé have very useful programs. Because you are unaware that in Labé, everything is urgent. Take a look at the state of our roads, the unsanitary conditions are there, there are really a lot of things. In the education system, there are really things to do in Labé. But all of this will be done in a spirit of collaboration and consultation. If you take the people who make up the special delegation, it gives hope. Really this time it was Labé who won. As for priorities, I will tell you that everything is urgent and important, but it is the team that will prioritize because we cannot do everything. There are so many things to do, priorities that we can do and set milestones to help the team that comes to be able to move forward. As an axis, there is the field of infrastructure. We’ll see what we’re going to do around that. And also in the area of health, there is a European Union project, we will see what has been started, what has worked, what has not worked. We will try to correct this together to be able to strengthen SMEs so that things can move forward and the population of Labé can really benefit from this,” indicated Ibrahima Pounthioun Diallo.
Note that Labé’s special delegation is made up of a total of 11 members including development agents and journalists. But most of them are not known to the general public.
