The interface organizer feature takes the same design whether you use it on your iPad or Mac computers. The active application will appear in the middle of the screen, while the most recently used applications will appear on the left side of the screen in the form of a list. The method of switching between applications is different in the iPad than in Mac computers.

How to use the feature on the iPad:

When you are finished using the active application located in the middle of the screen, you can easily switch to another application by clicking on the desired application. Whenever you switch between apps, the active app will move to the recent apps list and the new app will appear in the center of the screen.

You can also customize the design in which apps will appear on the screen by following these steps:

  • Head to (settings) Settings.
  • Click on the Home Screen & Multitasking option, and you will notice the option to hide the Recent Apps menu or hide the Docks icon bar, both of which will make active applications appear larger.

And if any of the previous lists are hidden, you can access the recent apps list again by swiping to the right from the left edge, and access the icon bar by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.

You can also group several applications together in one group, and when you click on that group, the applications will automatically appear in the center of the screen. Use one of the following methods to group apps together:

  • Method 1: Click on the icon with the three-dot icon at the top of the app, select the Add Another Window option, and choose the app you want to bundle with.
  • Method 2: Long-press an app icon from the Recent Apps list and drag it to the center of the screen.
  • Method 3: Long press an app icon from the Dock and drag it to the center of the screen.
  • Fourth method: Click on the App Library icon, long press an application, and drag it to the center of the screen.

You can group up to four apps in one group. And if you want to remove an app from a group, you can click the three-dot icon and choose Close Window. To expand the screen size of an app, tap the three-dot icon and select Enter Full Screen.

How to use the interface organizer on Mac computers:

You’ll have the option to stop Recent Applications from appearing if you don’t want the list of apps to appear on the left side of the screen, and you can also stop desktop items from appearing.
  4. You will also find the (Show Windows From an Application) menu. If you choose (All at Once), all available windows for the application will appear when you click on it. If you choose (One at a Time), only the most recent used window of the application will appear.
