In a rather surprising turn of events, esports organization Evil Geniuses has announced its intention to exit the competitive Counter-Strike space. After years of competing in esports, the team hopes to leave the scene behind, although hopes to return at some point in the future.
Evil Geniuses didn’t give an exact reason for quitting. The team simply acknowledges its past and history and thanks past and present players for their commitment and hard work during that time.
Speaking about its current roster of players and wider staff, Evil Geniuses wishes its players, coaches and staff all the best in future endeavors, while revealing that Soham “valens” Chowdhury will join the organization in rebranding and now serves as the entire company game director.
There’s no immediate confirmation on when Evil Geniuses will return to the competitive world of Counter-Strike.
