A colloquium in tribute to the journalist and patriot Juan Gualberto Gómez, on the 90th anniversary of his death, is the first activity organized by the Upec delegation from Matanzas as part of the celebrations for the Day for the Cuban Press Day.
The meeting will take place next Saturday, March 4, at 10 in the morning at the Unión de Reyes Municipal Museum. After concluding the theoretical event, the participants will visit the site where a bust dedicated to Juan Gualberto is located near the town of Matanzas, in a town that bears the name of the revolutionary.
That same day, in that municipal seat, a Press Festival will be held with the participation of the local inhabitants and, on Radio Unión, the eleventh base delegation of the province will be constituted.
