Fan Files a Complaint Against Hinteregger
The club from Mittlern released a statement regarding the incident and confirmed that the fan has already filed a report with the police “for bodily injury. The fan has also been to the doctor and suspects a concussion. We will also report the incident to the Carinthian Football Association! A coach should not do such things, regardless of whether it is Hinteregger or anyone else.”
The former Austrian national player has not yet commented on the allegations. According to the Austrian media outlet Kleine Zeitung, the case is expected to be addressed on Wednesday by the disciplinary committee of the Carinthian Football Association.
The 67-time Austrian national player ended his professional career in 2022. Before and after that, he caused multiple controversies – including a business relationship with a far-right local politician in his homeland.
