Striker Willian, formerCorinthians, had his renewal with Fulham announced this Monday. After being harassed by other clubs, the Brazilian will continue to dispute the English Championship for at least one more season. His new contract with the club has an option to extend for another 12 months.

“I am completely happy. Happy to sign for another year with Fulham and continue the work I did last season with all my teammates and the whole club. I think it’s a club that can do even better this season, so I’m happy to continue this incredible adventure”, said the player, who is the most capped Brazilian in Premier League history.

Willian was free on the market, as he had opted not to renew with Fulham as soon as his contract ended. According to the English press, the player even received other proposals, one of them from Nottingham Forest, where he would play with Brazilians Gustavo Scarpa and Danilo. Despite this, he decided to step back and sign for Fulham again.

The Brazilian arrived at the team after a frustrated spell at Corinthians, in which he scored just once in 35 games. At Fulham, on the other hand, Willian made 30 appearances, five goals and six assists last season.
