jpnn.comJAKARTA – Former Chairman of the Jayapura Regency DPRD, Mozes Kallem, experienced an unpleasant fate.
The reason is, two plots of land belonging to him in Watesjaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency which were to be traded with MNC Land, have now changed status without his party receiving full payment.
Mozes explained that this case began in 2016 when he sold 2.5 hectares of land to MNC Land, a company group owned by Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
In the initial agreement, the payment was made in two stages, namely 1.2 hectares paid first, then the remaining 1.3 hectares. However, until now the payment for the second stage has not been realized.
Mozes assessed that the developer had violated its commitment by only paying the first stage and then carrying out land grabbing without following the correct procedures.
“I have given a warning regarding the land status. However, MNC Land ignored it. In fact, the land ownership documents have been transferred to the developer who was initially given with full trust in the good intentions of MNC,” said Mozes in a written statement on Saturday (21/9/2024).
Furthermore, Mozes also admitted that he could not pay taxes on the 1.3 hectares of land that is currently a problem as well as his private land of 9,000 meters in a separate place that has been blocked since 2012, even though the land certificate is still in his hands.
Mozes Kallem feels that there is a land mafia involved in this case. The former functionary of the political party founded by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) complained about the difficulties he faced as a Papuan in getting justice, considering the many outsiders who easily took land in Papua.
