Late actor Matthew Perry’s ex-girlfriend Katie Edwards is calling for a review of his case and an investigation into the true causes of his death.

The Mirror reports this.

In her statement, Katie noted that the investigation did not reveal all the circumstances of the tragedy. She claims that the medical personnel who treated the actor at home should be held accountable for what happened.

Katie said Matthew sometimes took 40 to 50 doses of Vicodin, a powerful painkiller, a day. The actor received this medicine from a nurse who visited his home. He knew how to convince people to do whatever he needed, promising generous rewards in exchange for their silence and compliance with his requests.

Recall that the relationship between Perry and his former assistant Edwards began in 2006. The couple lived together for five years, and all this time Katie tried to help her lover overcome drug addiction, but he did not listen to her advice. After breaking up, they remained friends.

The Friends star was found dead in his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. According to the findings of the investigation, the cause of death was coronary heart disease and drug use.

As Cursor wrote, medical experts determined that Perry died from an acute reaction to ketamine, a hallucinogen used for medical purposes, including the treatment of depression and PTSD, as well as in therapy associated with heroin use. Drowning, coronary artery disease and exposure to buprenorphine, a drug used for opioid use disorder, were also listed as contributing factors in his death.

Earlier, Cursor reported that Hollywood actor Will Smith helped discover a new species of giant snakes. We are talking about one of the anaconda species of the Amazon.
