Pathanamthitta: Search continues at the house and premises of Bhagwal Singh and Laila, who performed human sacrifice in Ilantur. Six places were marked by the police. This was after the inspection by police dogs.
Meanwhile, a piece of bone was found from the field near where the inspection was conducted. But it is not clear whether it is human or animal. This piece of bone was collected by forensic experts.
A police team reached Ilantur from Ernakulam with the three accused around 2:00. Police are also searching inside Bhagwal Singh and Laila’s house. A large police force has been deployed at the spot.
The police explain that the investigation is to collect additional evidence related to the murder of the human sacrificers Padma and Roslin, but the investigation continues on the suspicion that a third human sacrifice took place at the place.
The search uses specially trained police dogs Maya and Murphy to find dead bodies. When the accused were brought to the house, the locals raised a huge protest. BJP and Congress workers also raised slogans and protested.
