Actress lyricist Javed Akhtar has filed a defamation suit in the Mumbai Magistrate’s Court in 2020 alleging that actress Kangana Ranaut made defamatory remarks in a TV interview. Actress Kangana Ranaut has filed a petition in the Mumbai Magistrate’s Court seeking to be barred from appearing in person for the trial in the case. Kangana Ranaut’s party demanded that he be excused from appearing in court in view of his work.
But his request was rejected by the Mumbai Magistrate’s Court. The accused is exempt from the rules of the law citing his own reasons
The court condemned the inability to obtain. Noting that Kangana has appeared in court only 2 times so far, the judge said that both times he did not appear with the intention of cooperating with the trial of the court.

The judge said there was no doubt that the accused was a celebrity, but that he could not forget that he had been charged in the case and that his co-operation was necessary for the trial to take place. The Mumbai Magistrate’s Court has also ruled that Kangana Ranaut thinks that the lawyer will take care of the legal proceedings.
