The British man, who was sentenced to death, was forced to sing the Russian anthem in prison, with the Kremlin’s campaigner grinning at his side and announcing: “Amazing! I have duck skin!” | The documentation was circulated on a media channel considered the mouthpiece of the Kremlin

British citizen Aidan Aslin, who is being held captive by pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine, has been forced to sing the Russian national anthem in his prison cell in front of the camera, in a move designed to humiliate him in front of the world. The video was distributed by the Russian television network RT, known as the mouthpiece of the Kremlin.

Aidan, 28, was sentenced to death last month along with another British citizen captured by pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine, 48-year-old Sean Finer. The two moved to Ukraine before the war and enlisted in the Ukrainian army as full-fledged soldiers, but after being captured in Mariupol, the court of the rebels in the Donbas region saw them as mercenaries for everything and sentenced them to execution by firing squad. Aidan is estimated to be being held in a Donetsk prison.

In a video in which Aidan was forced to sing the Russian anthem, John Dugan, a former American policeman who defected to Russia and was known as an ardent supporter of the Russian regime, is seen next to him. Dugan is now working in one of the Kremlin’s propaganda arms, and in the video he is seen grinning next to Aslin. When Aslin finishes singing, Dugan declares, “I have duck skin, man. It was amazing!”. Aslin replies, “Really?”, And Dugan replies, “Absolutely. You have talent, man. Amazing voice.”
