After the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government in the students’ non-cooperation movement, the country’s showbiz stars cheered victory. They celebrated this joy together with common people. Film artists, producers, crews and film journalists participated in this celebration at BFDC.

Filmmakers AJ Rana, Badiul Alam Khokon, Abul Kalam Azad, Khizir Hayat Khan, Golam Mostafa Shimul, Film Club President Shamsul Alam, Cinematographer Asaduzzaman Majnu, Film Editor Ekramul Haque, Fight Director Arman, Cinematographer Mehdi, FDC employees spoke on this occasion. President of the association Hannan, dance director Saiful Islam, actor Bilas Khan, senior journalist Imrul Shahed, Ahmed Tepantar, Mostafa Motihar, Nithor Mahbub, Ranju Sarkar, composer Murad Noor etc.

Ahmed Tepantar said, darkness came in the life of the nation through 15 long years of oppression, disappearances, murders and fascism. The entire Bangladesh became a prison under the misrule of the fascist government. The entire nation united with the anti-discrimination student movement to free itself from the shackles of subjugation and brought down the dictatorship. Through this, this nation was freed from the misery of subjugation and Awami fascism.

Badiul Alam Khokon said that we are dreaming of building a new Bangladesh with the brave role played by the students on the streets in the downfall of dictatorship. On behalf of the Bangladeshi film industry, we congratulate and thank these heroes. At the same time, I wish the souls of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the movement.

Thanking all martyrs and student leaders, Shiva Sanu said, now we have to reform in all sectors. Censor Board, Jury Board, Shilpakala Academy and other important institutions should be removed and honest and qualified people should be appointed.

Khizir Hayat Khan said, we have to be alert and aware that no one can take away our victory. Everyone should work shoulder to shoulder. This work will be possible only when Awami brokers can be expelled from all sectors.

Earlier, at the beginning of the program, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of all the martyrs who laid down their lives in the anti-discrimination student movement and prayed for the salvation of their departed souls.

Later, the pictures of Sheikh Mujib and Sheikh Hasina were removed from the offices of all organizations of FDC in the face of everyone’s demands
