A total of 3 boxes were derailed in the crash, which involved a collision with 3 boxes on another nearby track.
Fortunately no one was killed or injured in the accident which took place at 9.45 pm after the departure of the train from Dadar Terminus to Pondicherry.
The accident took place when the Dadar-Puducherry Chalukya Express was entering Down Fast Line from Platform 7 of Dadar Terminus when the CSMT-Gadag Express tried to cross it from the rear of the crossing.
