League Portugal 2024/25 Kicks Off This Friday Night
The Liga Portugal Betclic is back! The opening day of the 2024/25 season promises a lot of excitement and spectacle. The national champions, Sporting CP, will kick things off on Friday at 20h15 against Rio Ave FC.
Moreirense, meanwhile, will begin their campaign on Sunday against Farense at 18h00. The Vilacondense team has only won four times in 33 matches at the Estádio José Alvalade, while Sporting CP have scored in 42 consecutive home games in the top tier of Portuguese football.
Moreirense Starts the League with a Long Trip to Faro
Moreirense’s opening match of the season will be a long trip to Farense’s stadium on Sunday. The Cistercians finished the previous season in sixth place, their best-ever performance.
The team will be without several key players for the start of the league. Hernâni Infande, a 23-year-old Luso-Guinean winger, is still receiving treatment and will miss the trip to Farense. Gabrielzinho, a 28-year-old Brazilian winger, is also unlikely to be fit in time for the opening round.
