It has become an annual tradition with a new season of “Hver gang vi møtes” on TV 2. Therefore, in keeping with tradition, a new season of the popular program is expected in January 2025.
In “Hver gang vi møtes,” viewers get a glimpse into the lives and careers of both new and more experienced artists. What all participants have in common is that they are very talented and have experienced success in their respective fields within the music industry.
Just before the filming at the end of August, TV 2 revealed this year’s cast: Swedish Carola Häggkvist, Ina Wroldsen, Kjartan Lauritzen, Astrid Smeplass, Stein Torleif Bjella, Thomas Dybdahl, and Jonas Benyoub.
New this year is that the production has included a Swedish artist – who is notably very popular in Norway as well.
As usual, the tear-jerking series’ 15th season was filmed in the idyllic Kjerringøy outside Bodø.

Looking forward to the new season
Now the first teaser is out, and it has, to say the least, received a positive response from the public.
“Hver gang vi møtes” is a cornerstone of TV 2, and the expectations for the upcoming season are high. This year we are making a new twist and have brought in the most beloved artist from our neighboring country, namely Carola. Together with Ina, Kjartan, Astrid, Bjella, Thomas, and Jonas, they will create magical moments and new musical treasures. We look forward to showing viewers a new, strong season with fantastic artists from idyllic Kjerringøy outside Bodø,” said Trygve Rønningen, program editor and director of content strategy at TV 2, in a press release.
It is easy to say that Carola Häggkvist (58) is one of Scandinavia’s most legendary artists, but Ina Wroldsen (40) has also found great success in Norway and beyond our borders.
In other words, two world-wise artists in TV 2’s success “Hver gang vi møtes.” One of the artists Häggkvist has taken as a new favorite is Ina Wroldsen, whom she describes as “out-of-this-world, talented, melodic, and musical.”
“Wow, wow, wow, just wait (Written for Beyonce and others). Norway has so many gems and they really can deliver. Cheers!!!! Thank you dear Norway for inviting me, as the first Swede, to participate in this wonderful program that aims to uplift artists with a focus on music through honest portrait interviews where we meet on equal terms. How lovely. It is unique. Love it,” she wrote among other things on Instagram about Wroldsen.
Ina Wroldsen’s version of “Främling”
Already on January 1, 2025, “Hver gang vi møtes” will premiere. On Monday, we got a little glimpse of what is to come. Wroldsen interprets one of Häggkvist’s most iconic songs, “Främling.”
Wroldsen first played in a band together with Icelandic Arnthor Birgisson (48) in the pop band Ask Embla, but released solo singles “Aliens” and “Rebels” in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, she collaborated with Calvin Harris (40) and the group Disciples on the song “How Deep Is Your Love.”
Since then, she has written and collaborated with both Norwegian and international stars, and in 2017 she won the award for International Success of the Year at the Spellemannprisen. This also included a cash prize of 100,000 kroner.

Thus, it is safe to say that Wroldsen has achieved great success, in addition to being a beloved judge on “The Voice” before she stepped down after this year’s season.
In a post on Facebook, TV 2 has released a video of Wroldsen singing her interpretation of Häggkvist’s “Främling.” The clip that has now been released is taking the internet by storm.
Among the many comments now pouring in on Facebook, you can read:
“Very good. Better than the original,” writes one.
“TOTALLY MAGICAL!!! Ina, – you are the best!!!”, comments another.
“Nothing beats the original, but cool version,” writes a third.
“OMG, that was just completely insane,” a fourth adds.
It should be noted that there are also several who are dissatisfied that one of the interpretations is published before the program has started on TV, but that is nothing new.
What do you think of Ina’s version? We think it sounds fantastic.
