Since the corona came into the world, World Bible Quiz for Youth Became a virtual event. For the first time since the outbreak of the health crisis, today dozens of contestants came to Israel, and someone is here as part of the “Bible Camp”.

New today as before

The Jewish Agency is leading the Bible Quiz for Youth, and for the past two years they have had to conduct it online only. This year the quiz will be held as in the good old days, in a frontal manner in Jerusalem.

The youth conducted a simulation in preparation for possible questions in the quiz, along with a workshop on peoplehood and Jewish identity in collaboration with the Kol Ami preparatory program as part of the preparations for the World Bible Quiz for Youth and the 59th Diaspora Quiz to be held on Independence Day.

The contestants, who arrived in Israel in recent days through the Jewish Agency, include 45 boys and girls from 20 different countries around the world.

Bible for youth

The contestants are currently finishing their preparations at the training camp for the quiz, which was held by the director of society and youth at the Ministry of Education. As part of this, the contestants toured a variety of tours around the country where they got to know closely the sites and holy places mentioned in the Bible and are also expected to meet with the President of the State.

Also, as part of the “Bible Camp”, contestants who participated in the virtual quizzes held in the past two years also came to Israel. Their sons – Ilana Rosenblatt, an 18-year-old girl from New Jersey who helps American contestants and seven-year-old Schwab, a 16-year-old contestant from England who competed about two years ago and is now tutoring children in the UK in Bible studies.
