The abolition of the ISF in 2018 was a marker of Emmanuel Macron’s presidency… and a trauma for the associative world, suddenly deprived of the very important tax-free donations paid to them by the wealthiest taxpayers. Five years later, the situation has not returned to its former level, but it is improving.
According to the annual study by the Recherche & Solidarités network, which “Les Echos” exclusively reveals, more and more people subject to the real estate wealth tax (IFI) are declaring a donation. There were 33,200 in 2022, an increase of 66% in just four years. But we are still far from the 51,600 subject to ISF who declared a donation in 2017.
