A good student, the best, even. This year again, France retains first place in the 2023 edition of the Equileap ranking of large companies in 23 countries in terms of gender equality. For its barometer, the results of which are published exclusively by “Les Echos”, this firm specializing in the supply of data on the parity with which Euronext recently joined forces to publish two stock market indices screened 3,787 companies whose stock market capitalization minus $2 billion.

In view of the number of French companies meeting this criterion, France is even still overrepresented in its Top 100 in 2023, as in 2022. Other good news: it has still “continued to progress”, welcomes the general manager of Equileap. But Diana van Maasdijk also points out that the progression observed in 2023 was slower compared to the previous year. “The march was smaller,” she sums up.
