Indian National Executed in Saudi Arabia for Murder of Yemeni Man
Dammam: The Ministry of Home Affairs in Saudi Arabia has announced that Indian national Kalamuddin Muhammad Rafiq has been executed for the murder of Yemeni citizen Muhammad Hasan Ali. Rafiq was sentenced to death after being found guilty of stabbing Ali to death during a verbal dispute.

The trial court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court all upheld the verdict of the initial sentence, leading to the execution being ordered by the Saudi Royal Court. The sentence was carried out in the Eastern Province.

The case was sparked by a verbal argument between Rafiq and Ali, which tragically ended in Ali’s death. The Saudi Public Prosecution was handed the case after Rafiq was arrested by the security department. Following an investigation, a charge sheet was filed and the accused was found guilty.

In a separate incident in Riyadh, a Pakistani driver named Imtiaz has been sentenced to four years in prison for stealing a Saudi woman’s mobile phone and attempting to sexually harass her during a car ride. The Criminal Court also ordered a fine of 15,000 Riyals to be paid by Imtiaz.

The woman reported to the police that her phone had been stolen during a car journey with Imtiaz, who then demanded sexual favors in exchange for returning the phone. Imtiaz claimed that the phone had been left in the car and denied any wrongdoing, but the court found evidence that he had indeed stolen the phone and attempted to use it as leverage for sexual purposes.

The incidents highlight the importance of ensuring the safety and security of individuals in the region, and the courts’ decisions reflect a commitment to holding individuals accountable for their actions.
