“Incomes received by media entities (individuals (except for journalists) or legal entities) as a result of their activities, including advertising revenues, as well as material assistance provided to them by the Azerbaijan Media Development Agency, are exempt from income tax, income tax and simplified The media products they provide are also exempt from value added tax for a period of 3 years. will seriously feel the result of the application of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, which came into force by the relevant Decree of the head of state, to put it briefly and more clearly, the impact of tax benefits in their activities,” he said.

According to him, the above-mentioned additions and changes serve to eliminate as much as possible unequal competition between social networks and professional media resources, stimulate entrepreneurial activity in the media sphere, insure the advertising market and the business environment from external influences, and protect the media and information space in Azerbaijan.

“The tax incentive packages that are constantly applied to print and online media are also important as an integral part of the reforms carried out in the media sector in our country as a whole. The decisions made and the steps taken indicate that the reforms are conceptual in nature, implemented in a systematic form and are moving forward in accordance with the roadmap.
