Exhibition of graduates of the Engraving Workshop of the Department of Visual Arts and Art Sciences, jointly organized by the School of Fine Arts of the University of Ioannina and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thesprotia.


The exhibition, which will be hosted at the Archaeological Museum of Igoumenitsa from Saturday, April 20th until August 31st, presents works by the graduates of the Department of Visual Arts and Art Sciences of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Ioannina, who prepared their diploma theses in Engraving workshop, as well as works by the workshop teachers.
The exhibition, which is under the auspices of the University of Ioannina and is part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of its establishment, showcases the enormous possibilities of printmaking through the works of the participating artists, reflecting the important artistic output of the workshop. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore inspiration fueled by the unexpected and play of creation.
The artists Giorgos Vassiliou, Anna Giamali, Ioanna-Ypatia Grammatikopoulou, Annita Dimitriou, Sultana Iloridou, Letizia Innesto, Athena Kakava, Sofia Kamara, Panagiota Mastoraki, Valentini Pantelaiu, Theodora Papageloutsou, Agathi Pappa, Evangelia Passia, Panagiotis Pristouris, Faie Ralli, Irini Rapti, Iliana Siarga, Agathi Siolou, Matina Tasatzi, Dimitroula – Raphaelia Tektonidou, Dimitra Troupi, Anna Tsernenko and Venetia Yfantidou, as well as the teachers Rania Stathopoulou, Konstantinos Papamihalopoulos and Gianna Kalogianni.
The poster of the exhibition was designed by the student of the Department of Visual Arts and Art Sciences of the University of Ioannina Konstantinos Ghikas, in the context of the course “Illustration-Poster”, taught by assistant professor Konstantinos Papamihalopoulos.
There will not be an opening at the exhibition, but there will be guided tours by the teachers of the School. The Archaeological Museum of Igoumenitsa is open every day, except Tuesdays, from 8 am to 3 pm. It will also be closed on Easter Sunday and May Day.
