Around 100 art galleries, institutions and other exhibitors from 30 countries on four continents will be presenting themselves at the 13th Art Market for contemporary art (AMB) in the Bálna Budapest building until Sunday.
Trade fair director Attila Ledényi highlighted the strong presence from the Far East, such as South Korea, China and Japan, but there are also exhibitors from important art markets such as South America, South Africa and the USA. Half of the exhibitors come from Hungary, and over 300 local artists can present themselves here in an international environment. The largest exhibition stands this year will be occupied by the Hungarian acb and Erdész Galerie, the Romanian Jecza, the German M Beck and Art Affair and the Colombian Adrian Ibanez Galerie.
This year AMB is not focusing on the art scene of a guest of honor, but on contemporary Roma art: SHUKAR. The international Roma art festival awaits the audience with colorful programs in Bálna and at external venues.
