Exit controls start in Landeck and Reutte

by time news

In Tyrol, exit controls for the Landeck district in the Oberland and the Reutte district in Ausserfern will start on Friday due to the increasing number of corona infections. Both districts have a comparatively high incidence, which is why the black-green state government finally announced the measures on Wednesday. For an end to the exit controls it would be necessary for the incidence to fall below 500 or for the vaccination rate to be increased.

In the districts of Landeck and Reutte there will be controls from Friday

Anyone wishing to leave the two districts must present valid 3G proof from Friday. So you either have to be vaccinated or recovered or have a negative corona test. Tyrolean governor Günther Platter (ÖVP) expected that due to the increase in intensive capacities, stage 3 of the federal government’s plan will soon come into force – and antigen tests will “be a thing of the past”. Then only one negative PCR test will be valid at the exit controls.

In terms of population, the two districts are the smallest in Tyrol: The Landeck district has around 44,300 inhabitants, the Reutte district around 32,800.
