Burkina: Release of promotion, customs clearance and false alarm for 1,200 homes on the front page of daily newspapers

Ouagadougou, August 28, 2023 (AIB) – The Burkinabè newspapers in their publications on Monday deal with the increase in customs clearance prices, the false alert of an explosive device attack and the exit of the first promotion of 1498 auxiliary gendarmes .

The public daily Sidwaya mentions on its front page: “Reconquest of the national territory: 1498 auxiliary gendarmes ready to ˵go to the coal˶”.

Sidwaya informs that the National Gendarmerie Training Center (CIGN) of Gaoua delivered its first soldiers after 5 months of initial military training in the barracks.

He adds that there are 1498 auxiliary gendarmes including 9 girls with 100 specialists in various fields who are now able to serve the nation.

The dean of private dailies, L’Observateur Paalga, reveals in its headline: “Gaoua National Gendarmerie Training Center: Exit of the 1st promotion of auxiliary gendarmes students”.

The newspaper indicates that for the squadron leader Emile Soudré in charge of the expedition, this training made it possible to give the applicants the knowledge, the know-how and the know-how necessary so that they are not only soldiers but also fighters and republican citizens who will contribute to reconquering the territory.

He specifies that the price of customs clearance of goods has increased “exponentially” by more than 150% with consequences on the income of traders.
