Kuwait City | Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Environmental Protection Committee, directed that immediate steps should be taken to deport expatriates who violate environmental laws in Kuwait. The footage of two expatriates throwing the construction debris from the Mutla residential center in the Maru area was circulated on social media the other day.

Following this, the Environmental Protection Committee issued strict instructions to the officials to take action to deport the foreigners who violated environmental laws. In cases of serious violation of environmental laws, the Director General directed that the civil ID of the law violators should be obtained and handed over to the nearest police station, and then steps should be taken to deport them by contacting the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Officials also stated that crimes such as fishing in the Gulf of Kuwait, littering in public places, sandblasting, hunting wild animals, trespassing in the environmental protection zone, etc. will be considered serious violations of the environmental law.
