Expect a price increase for Samsung’s new foldable phone models

by time news

At the upcoming Unpacked event, which will be held on August 10, Samsung will announce new foldable models: Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. While in the previous generation, Samsung managed to lower the prices of foldable devices somewhat, with the stated aim of making them accessible to a large audience Moreover, according to the latest reports, a slight price increase is actually expected this year.

If we rely on the leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be launched in Europe at a price of 1,080 euros for the model with 128 gigabytes of memory for storing files. For a memory volume of 256 gigabytes, Samsung will ask 1,160 euros, while for 512 gigabytes the price will be 1,280 euros. In each of the cases, it is an increase in the price of about 30 to 50 euros from the existing price.

A similar price increase should also be registered in Samsung’s second foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Here the basic model with 256 GB is priced at €1,896, while a model with 512 GB will come with a price tag of €1,981. Here, too, it is a slight increase in the price of a few tens of euros for each of the models.

It should be noted that even within the European market there are sometimes price differences between different countries, and in any case local distributors and chains may sell the device with sales and discounts on the occasion of the launch. However, it seems that the general trend, considering the price increases in the market, points to an increase in prices.
