The Bicis para la Vida by Škoda project promoted by the Contador Foundation, Škoda and the Seur Foundation has made a donation of 35 bicycles to children belonging to disadvantaged groups in three enclaves of the Tessaut Valley in the Moroccan High Atlas.

During the trip, headed by Alberto Contador himself, 26 bicycles were delivered to the village of TasseInte, another 8 stayed in a neighborhood association created in Ifoulou for their management and one last, very special one, stayed in Azzarzan to help a child with intellectual diversity.

The journey of these bicycles began in Pinto, where members of the Pinto AMP Association, which works with people with disabilities, functional diversity, their families and those around them, repaired and tuned up the bicycles donated to the Foundation to give them a second life. .

From there the entourage left by road to Algeciras to board the ferry in the direction of Ceuta and, from there, to the High Atlas area. The base of operations for the distribution of bicycles was the village of Tagulast, from which the team traveled to make deliveries in the locations previously supervised by Hafid El Rhadiouini, liaison for Bicis para la Vida by Škoda in Moroccan territory and in charge of monitor the status and proper use of donations.

Alberto Contador has highlighted from experience that “You travel to a totally different reality in which the minuscule, what can go unnoticed in our society, is valued here in an impressive way. And seeing the children impacts you, touches your heart, excites you”.

Škoda Spain has been working together with the Contador Foundation since 2018, with which it has carried out multiple actions such as the one that in this year 2022 has consisted of the collection, set-up and subsequent delivery of donated bicycles destined for Ukrainian refugees in Spain.
