Legendary Halo Actors Reunite for HaloWC 2023
SANGHELIOS, October 28, 2558 – In a historic moment for Halo fans, Steve Downes, Jen Taylor, and Keith David reunited to perform a brand new scene together as the Master Chief, Dr. Halsey, and the Arbiter at the Halo World Championship 2023 (HaloWC).
The scene, titled “Sunrise on Sanghelios,” takes place immediately after the events of Halo 5: Guardians and parallel to the events depicted in the novel Halo: Bad Blood. The Arbiter invites the Spartans to join them for a meal and rest before their departure. As the night progresses, the Arbiter takes the Master Chief aside and expresses his relief at his return. The Master Chief shares the story of his time adrift with Cortana and their encounter with the Didact.
The Master Chief admits that Cortana had changed and become driven by a misguided logic. The Arbiter implores him to try and save her, reminding him that mistakes happen, even to the best of them.
The two continue their discussion throughout the night, with the Arbiter recounting the stories of loss, sacrifice, victory, and unity. He ends with his hope for a future alliance of species built on strength, unity, and mutual trust.
As the morning approaches, preparations are made for departure, and the Pelican lifts off the ground. The Arbiter bids farewell to the Master Chief, expressing his confidence in their ability to face the new threat together.
The scene concludes with a sense of hope and resolve as the Master Chief and the Arbiter clasp forearms, choosing not to part ways through sacrifice or betrayal. The Pelican soars through the atmosphere of Sanghelios, leaving the world to face an uncertain and perilous new dawn.
