The cultural platform &Beyond presents for the first time to the Athenian public the rapidly rising Italian DJ and music producer System Olympia for a DJ set in the courtyard of the Serafio in Athens, on Saturday, September 7.
System Olympia is a DJ, music producer, and singer based in London, originally from Rome, Italy. With her music, she builds a sonic world inspired by romantic literature, the sensuality of the dancefloor, and the soul’s nocturnal quests. Her sound is melodic, sensual, and dreamy, featuring elements of electronica, disco, boogie, italo, avant pop, and house. She has a monthly show on the renowned NTS Radio, has released two LPs and several EPs and singles with excellent reception from audiences and critics, while her tracks are played by the world’s top DJs. She capitalizes on her success with performances at some of the best clubs and festivals around the globe. System Olympia is an underground phenomenon that is rapidly emerging, dynamically invading contemporary pop culture.
Joining her for B2B sets are Lex (Leng Records, Needless) x Chevy (Needless, &beyond) and Mr. Enarto x Papaioannou (&beyond, Stegi Radio).
The event is dedicated to the Italian way of life and will take place with the kind sponsorship of Aperol, under the auspices of the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, and with the support of the mobile party Needless. The evening will kick off early with Aperol spritz (Aperitivo) and authentic Neapolitan Pizza from Pizza Dough. Of course, there will also be vinyl, as Mono Record Store will set up a “Mediterranean Style” pop-up with selected records.
